A Beginner's Guide to Seeds Care
Welcome to Destinfwb Furniture! We’ve prepared this simple care guide to help your new succulents thrive. Whether you’re new to plants or a succulent fan, these tips will help you grow happy and healthy plants.
1. Light Requirements
-
Succulents love bright, indirect sunlight. Aim for 4–6 hours of light daily.
-
Avoid harsh direct sun during the first week to prevent sunburn.
-
Indoors, place them near a south- or east-facing window.
2. Watering Guidelines
-
Follow the “soak and dry” method: water only when the soil is completely dry.
-
Adjust watering by season:
-
Spring/Fall: once every 7–10 days
-
Summer: reduce frequency to avoid root rot
-
Winter: water once every 2–4 weeks
-
-
Avoid letting water sit on leaves to prevent rot and mold.
3. Soil & Pots
-
Use well-draining succulent soil mix, like peat + perlite or coconut fiber.
-
Make sure your pot has a drainage hole to prevent water buildup.
-
Do not use regular garden soil or moist, dense soil.
4. Temperature & Airflow
-
Ideal temperature: 59°F – 82°F (15°C – 28°C)
-
Protect from frost – bring indoors if temperatures fall below 41°F (5°C).
-
Ensure good airflow indoors to avoid humidity and mold.
5. Fertilizing
-
Succulents require minimal feeding. Use slow-release succulent fertilizer.
-
Apply once in spring or fall, and avoid fertilizing during hot summers or winter dormancy.
6. Common Problems & Solutions
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Mushy leaves | Check for overwatering or root rot |
| Stretching (leggy) | Not enough light – move to a brighter spot |
| Blackened tips | Sunburn or excess water – provide shade and reduce watering |
7. After Delivery Instructions
-
Unbox your plants immediately and let them sit in a dry, shaded spot for 1–2 days to adjust.
-
Do not water right away—allow the plant to acclimate for about a week.
